Everything a ticket needs at the door
A ticket is checked in seconds, often in bad light, so the layout is centered, large, and ordered by what staff look for.
Where they usually go wrong
It has to look like you do this for a living.
A Word file shows the seams: floating tables, mismatched type, spacing you fixed twice.
Template sites make you retype the job into their form.
Twelve fields before you see a page, and the result still looks like their template.
One change and the layout falls apart.
Move a line and the table, the headings, and the footer all need re-fixing.
- The event name, date, time, and venue
- A QR encoding your supplied URL or reference code; test it at print size
- The ticket number, seat, and gate on one line
- Entry instructions: doors, ID, and bag rules
For any ticketed event
The same layout works for venues that issue their own tickets rather than using a ticketing platform:
Concerts and theatre
Seat and gate lines
Conferences and workshops
Badge pickup and access levels
School and community events
A simple check-in code
Private events
Invitations with an entry QR
How it works
Describe it
Type what you need in plain language: the client, the line items, the tone. Attach a file if you have one.
Refine by chatting
The agent builds the document with real tables and headings, and you change anything just by asking. A live A4 preview updates as it works.

Make my ticketYou type it, it sets it
Every part of the document is something you can ask for in a sentence. This is a real edit, made on the example above.
The same line, boxed above the code.
Questions, answered
How does it work for a numbered event?
Each ticket prints on its own A4 page, so you can print only the tickets you need, or hand the PDF to a print shop. For a numbered event, generate one ticket per guest; the QR carries whatever check-in link or code your door staff scan.
Can the QR code check people in?
It only encodes the link or code you provide. PaintPDF does not sell tickets, validate uniqueness, prevent duplicate entry or maintain a check-in database. Use your own check-in system and test the printed QR before distributing tickets.
One ticket or a sheet of tickets?
The recipe targets one ticket per A4 page. Inspect the output and test QR readability at your intended print size. You can ask for a compact version, but this is not a bulk ticket issuance service.
Can I add my logo?
A logo is an image block and needs a JPEG or PNG URL. Paste one and the agent places it on the ticket.
Is it free?
Free to start, no watermark, unlimited exports, around 20 PDFs a month on the free plan.
How long does it take to build the event ticket?
One short chat: describe what you need, check the live preview, download the PDF. You can keep changing it after that.
Can I bring a document I already have?
Yes. Attach up to four files at a time: images up to 5 MB, PDFs up to 10 MB, or text files up to 200 KB (.txt, .md, .csv, .json). For Word (.docx, not .doc), PDF, Markdown, HTML or LaTeX documents up to 10 MB each, choose ‘Import a document’ from the studio’s attachment menu. The agent rebuilds imports as editable blocks; original formatting may change.
